Scott Brown’s New Hampshire stops fuel Senate speculation

Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R) is fueling rumors he is considering a bid for the Senate seat in New Hampshire by making continued stops in the Granite State this fall.

{mosads}Brown will appear at a fundraiser for the conservative advocacy group Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire in Portsmouth on Oct. 6, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

Brown, who lost his Senate seat last year to Democrat Elizabeth Warren in an upset, recently ruled out a run for Massachusetts governor.

But he has not yet ruled out a bid next year to unseat incumbent New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D). Brown owns a vacation home in the state.

The October appearance, which will precede the New England Patriots’ game, is being billed “A Patriots Tailgate with Scott Brown.”

Business executive Dan Plummer and his wife Renee, a GOP activist who served on the Republican National Convention rules committee a year ago, will host the event.

After making several appearances at GOP events in the state throughout the spring, Brown appeared on stage with the rock band Cheap Trick at the Hampton Beach Casino last weekend.

The Union Leader also reported that Brown will appear at the Nashua Lion’s Club 90th anniversary dinner in September.
