Biden: ‘Assume every microphone is on’

Vice President Biden on Monday joked that he now assumes every microphone is on, in a reference to his expletive captured at the White House during the 2010 signing of the healthcare law.

“Piece of advice about that BFD stuff: Assume every microphone is on,” he said, according to CNN.

{mosads}Biden was speaking at the Ride 2 Recovery Memorial Challenge, a 350-mile bike ride from Washington to Virginia Beach that included injured veterans.

The person who introduced Biden referenced the vice president’s off-the-cuff remark to President Obama after introducing the president at the ObamaCare bill signing four year ago.

“This is a big f—ing deal,” Biden said at the time.

“I just want you to know, I didn’t intentionally say that,” Biden told the crowd of cyclists Monday. “I actually turned and I said, ‘Mr. President,’ and I whispered in his ear. Unfortunately, I was looking in the direction of one guy who could actually read lips – not a joke. Because no one picked it up at the time and one of the reporters read lips. Thank god my mother was gone or I’d have been one dead vice president.”
