Bush 41’s condition improves, doctors discussing discharge
Former President George H. W. Bush’s condition has improved and doctors are discussing when they can discharge him from the hospital.
“41’s condition has improved to the point doctors are discussing dates for his discharge,” Bush’s spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted Saturday evening.
{mosads}McGrath added that doctors would keep Bush under observation for a few more days.
“He will remain @MethodistHosp through the weekend.”
The 90-year old former president was taken to Houston’s Methodist Hospital on Tuesday night after experiencing shortness of breath.
He spent Christmas in the hospital, with his spokesman saying he remained in “great spirits.”
Bush is the father of former President George W. Bush and former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) who is weighing a 2016 run for the White House.
Bush has had heart problems since the early 90s and in 2013 was also hospitalized for bronchitis.
