White House lawn locked down

The North Lawn of the White House was locked down Tuesday morning as police investigated an unattended package in neighboring Lafayette Park.

D.C. Metro Police were dispatched to investigate the package, U.S. Secret Service spokesman Robert Horback said in an email.

The White House was placed on lockdown last week when a small recreational drone crashed on the grounds of the executive mansion.
