Michigan Gov. Snyder admitted to hospital
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) was admitted to an Ann Arbor, Mich., hospital Thursday with a blood clot, The Detroit News reported.
The clot is in his right leg, where Snyder ruptured his achilles tendon last month while running.
The injury has affected his mobility — his right foot and leg were in a cast, and he was using crutches shortly after the accident, the Detroit Free Press reported. The News reported that he rested his leg on a stool throughout his State of the State speech in January.
Snyder was reelected in November after an intense campaign. He said that during his tenure, the beleaguered state had seen job growth, and the city of Detroit is on its way to an economic recovery.
