Clinton to speak at UN event in March

Hillary Clinton is set to address a United Nations gathering in March, filling out a busy speaking schedule over the next month as she prepares for a likely presidential run.

The former secretary of State will be the keynote speaker at the Women’s Empowerment Principles annual gathering on March 10, which is being held at U.N. headquarters in New York City.

{mosads}Clinton will “outline an agenda to accelerate the full participation of women and girls around the world,” the group said. She will also share findings from a Clinton Foundation report on on the state of women’s rights and well-being around the world.

It is one of many appearances Clinton is scheduled to make in the coming weeks. She will speak next Tuesday at a conference for women in Silicon Valley, where she will be interviewed by technology reporter Kara Swisher and appear at a gala for EMILY’s List in early March.

She will also speak at an award ceremony for political reporting on March 23.

Clinton is preparing for her still-unofficial White House bid, working to hire top staffers and secure space for a campaign headquarters.

The news of Clinton’s speech to the UN group was first reported by Bloomberg Politics.
