Boehner blows kisses to reporter

With lawmakers locked in a tense showdown over a possible partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) took a moment to lighten the mood at a press conference Thursday.

He blew kisses at a reporter while being asked a question, eliciting laughter from the audience.

This isn’t the first time Boehner has joked around at a press conference in recent weeks. At a previous press conference, he wished reporters a happy Valentines Day as he was leaving the podium.
