Perry responds to Trump insults with pull-up contest challenge

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry has decided the time for talk in his war of words with fellow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is over — and it’s time to get physical.

During the Q&A portion of his Wednesday afternoon appearance at the Yale Club, Perry was asked by a Daily Mail reporter how he would respond to Trump’s claims that Perry lacks the “brain power” to run a successful presidential campaign.

{mosads}“Let’s get a pull-up bar out here and see who can do more pull-ups,” Perry responded to laughter and applause from audience members.

Trump is currently leading Perry and the rest of the GOP field by a substantial margin per several polls. He has yet to accept Perry’s challenge.
