Fox News anchor Chris Wallace won’t apologize to Trump

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace says he won’t apologize for asking Donald Trump tough questions at the first Republican primary debate.

“I don’t think he particularly likes tough questions, and nobody likes tough questions, but he says it, and they were tough questions, and I don’t apologize for anything I said,” Wallace said on Fox News Radio’s “Kilmeade & Friends” Thursday.

{mosads}Wallace, who was one of three moderators at the first Republican primary debate, asked Trump about his comments on illegal immigration and his corporations’ numerous bankruptcies.

“You can’t ask him about his voting record, you can’t ask him about what he did as governor of a state because all he’s got is his business record,” Wallace continued.

“It would be like having Mitt Romney and not asking about Bain Capital,” Wallace said, referring to the 2012 Republican presidential nominee’s investment firm.

Trump was critical of the questions he received at the debate, especially those posed to him by moderator Megyn Kelly.

“The questions to me were not nice,” Trump told reporters after the debate. “I didn’t think they were appropriate, and I think Megyn behaved very badly, personally.”
