GOP applauds vets’ ‘heroic actions’

On Memorial Day, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said he is “eternally grateful” for the sacrifices of America’s fallen soldiers.

{mosads}“Today, we remember all those in uniform who have laid down their lives for our country and our freedoms,” Priebus said in a statement.

“In every generation, our nation has depended on the brave and heroic actions of our troops to secure the blessings of liberty,” he added. “We are eternally grateful for their solemn sacrifices, and we take pride in honoring them this Memorial Day.”

RNC co-Chair Sharon Day added: “God bless those who have given everything to ensure we can live free. Today we thankfully remember what they have done for our nation. We especially remember the loved ones of those who have fallen in the defense of freedom, and we pray that they would know peace and comfort today. Our appreciation for the sacrifices of our heroes is limitless, and I hope we will all take time to reflect on them as we celebrate Memorial Day.”
