Trump responds to Muslim DNC speaker: ‘I’d like to hear his wife’
Donald Trump sniped back at Khizr Khan, who delivered a memorable speech at the Democratic National Convention, with eight words: “I’d like to hear his wife say something.”
{mosads}In his address Thursday night, Muslim lawyer Khizr Khan talked about sacrifice and heroism of his son, Humayun.
Humayun was an Army captain who received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart after he was killed in Iraq in 2004.
During his speech, Khan took out a copy of the Constitution and asked Trump if he had ever read it. “You have sacrificed nothing,” he said, as his wife stood by his side.
However, Ghazala Khan did speak at an interview with MSNBC on Friday, thanking America for “listening to my husband’s and my heart.”
She also added that she gets very emotional when talking about her son or seeing his picture.
