Dem lawmaker: Sessions ‘in contempt of Congress’ for stonewalling
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) tweeted Tuesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should be held in contempt of Congress for stonewalling the Senate Intelligence Committee during his testimony Tuesday.
“Two key takeaways: Attorney General Sessions (1) is in Contempt of Congress for stonewalling and (2) he did not contradict Comey’s testimony,” Lieu wrote on Twitter.

{mosads}Sessions testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday about President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey, as well as Sessions’s contacts with Russian officials during the campaign.
Lieu has been a constant critic of the Trump administration, especially on Twitter. In April, he called for senior White House adviser Jared Kushner to lose his security clearance after The New York Times reported that Kushner omitted a meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak from his official security clearance paperwork.
