Sasse has ‘nothing to announce’ on GOP ObamaCare repeal
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said Sunday that he is not committed to the GOP’s ObamaCare repeal bill.
Sasse, who described the Senate bill as more of a “Medicaid reform package” than a repeal and replace of ObamaCare at a Koch summit this weekend, broke with the majority of his party in telling a group of donors to Charles and David Koch that he wasn’t committed to the bill, according to multiple reports.

“I have nothing to announce,” he said.
Sasse noted that Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) was in attendance, joking, “I have a bruise just inside my collarbone from his thumb on me,” according to the Washington Examiner.
{mosads}Five GOP senators have now said that they won’t support the measure, and other Republican lawmakers said they need more time to review and amend the bill before bringing it up for a vote.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) unveiled the bill Thursday and is pushing for a vote on the measure this coming week.
