Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Thursday said he refused to use a handicap when golfing with President Trump, adding that he told the president he does not “take any welfare.”
During an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” co-host Brian Kilmeade said Paul should let Trump win at golf, arguing, “You don’t want to beat the president.”
{mosads}“See, unfortunately, it’s not ‘letting,’ ” Paul responded. “He actually beats me fair and square.”
“But I will tell you we were on the first tee and he [asked] what was my handicap, but he offered to give me a stroke on each nine and I said, ‘No, Mr. president. I don’t take any welfare,’” Paul said, wagging his finger.
