President Trump’s name was removed from a downtown Toronto hotel on Tuesday.
Workers were spotted taking down the “Trump” sign from the 65-story building, The Globe and Mail reported.
{mosads}The Trump Organization never owned the building, but leased the space to run the Trump International Hotel and Tower. JCF Capital ULC, the firm that owns the hotel, reportedly struck a $6 million deal with the Trump Organization to buy it out last month.
Trump refused to divest from his business empire before taking office, instead saying his stake in the Trump Organization would be managed by a blind trust. That trust is now managed in part by his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, who said they brief the president on his company’s profits.
