Kushner speech to congressional interns delayed
Jared Kushner’s speech to congressional interns that was originally scheduled for Friday has been moved to July 31, according to the House website.
Kushner, who is President Trump’s son-in-law and a White House adviser, is scheduled to speak as part of a summer intern lecture series that also features talks from House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
{mosads}According to the website, a new time for the lecture will be announced when a revised schedule is released on July 28.
Kushner is slated to be on the Hill Monday, to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a closed hearing after facing scrutiny over his previously undisclosed meetings with Russian nationals and officials, including a meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and the CEO of a Russian state-run bank during the presidential transition.
He has emerged as a person of interest in ongoing investigations into Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
