Gorka claims Bannon contributed to Trump’s UN speech

The White House is disputing former White House aide Sebastian Gorka’s claims that former chief strategist Stephen Bannon helped write President Trump’s Tuesday speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

“The individual who wrote that speech — and it’s not the person they normally say it is — came to Steve [Bannon] and myself and sat in Steve’s office with me before we left the White House and we consulted him on what that speech should be about,” Gorka told Newsweek on Thursday. 

The White House responded that Gorka’s claims were “100 percent false” and that the two former advisers “played no role” in crafting Trump’s speech to the U.N. 

{mosads}Gorka and Bannon both left the White House shortly after Gen. John Kelly took the reins as the new chief of staff in July.

North Korea on Thursday pushed back against Trump’s U.N. speech, calling the president a “barking dog.”

In the speech, Trump called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man” in reference to the country’s continued tests of missiles and nuclear weapons. He also blasted Iran for its nuclear development and called the Iran nuclear deal “an embarrassment to the U.S.”
