Las Vegas GoFundMe raises more than $3.1 million in one day
The GoFundMe page for victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting has raised more than $3.1 million in just over 24 hours.
Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak set up the fund Monday and pledged the first $10,000.
“Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting,” according to the description on the page.
{mosads}As of Tuesday morning, over 46,000 people had donated to the campaign, and it had been shared around 200,000 times on social media.
“I’m truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of donations to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund from all over America,” Sisolak tweeted.

Sisolak originally set the goal to raise $2 million, but upped it after that goal was passed Monday night. The page now lists a goal of $3.5 million.
