The slogan on the hat is a nod to Trump’s proposed border wall, a controversial proposal to quell illegal immigration. Throughout the 2016 presidential race, crowds at pro-Trump rallies often chanted “Build the wall.”

Trump declared Sept. 15–Oct. 15 National Hispanic Heritage Month, a move that was harshly critiqued by Democrats, who called it “hypocritical” and “insulting.”
On Wednesday, the House Homeland Security Committee approved a border security bill that includes $10 billion for a border wall.
The legislation will now head to the House floor for a full vote.
