Beverly Hills police open sexual assault investigation into Weinstein
Police in Beverly Hills, Calif., have opened an investigation into Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The police department on Tuesday said it’s investigating new allegations of sexual assault against Weinstein and movie director James Toback, and that anyone with information about misconduct should come forward.
Both filmmakers have denied any wrongdoing.
Beverly Hills is now the fourth police department to open an investigation into Weinstein’s alleged sexual harassment, with investigations also underway in New York, London and Los Angeles.

Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment by over 200 women, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Three women told The New Yorker magazine that Weinstein raped them, and four others said that they experienced unwanted physical touching.
The Los Angeles police are currently investigating a 2013 incident in which an Italian actress and model claimed that Weinstein forced her to have sex with him, an allegation he denies.
