Former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday struggled to come up with a specific example of something President Trump has done well since taking office, joking that “he married very well.”
“I think there’s a number of things he’s doing well. But even the things he’s doing well, it’s how he does them,” Biden said on NBC’s “Today.”
“It’s more the tone of this administration that bothers me,” he said.

“With all due respect, you haven’t come up with one thing you think he’s doing well,” host Matt Lauer interjected.
“Well, I think he married very well,” Biden joked.
“I can’t think of something right now,” he continued. “But I’m not being a wiseguy. There’s a lot of the country that’s still functioning.”
He eventually praised Trump’s choice of keeping military personnel stationed in the Middle East who were there at the end of the Obama administration.
Biden, whose memoir comes out on Tuesday, has been an outspoken critic of Trump, saying last week that “phony nationalism” is tearing the country apart.
Biden has not decided whether he will run for president in 2020, but a report last week said he is leaning toward running.
