Clinton: Republicans have to decide to stand up to Trump

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said Friday that Republicans must decide to stand up to President Trump amid the ongoing probes into Russia’s election meddling and its possible coordination with the Trump campaign.

“I believe that it really does come down both to the investigation that’s going on and to whether Republicans will decide that they have to put our country before their party, and I hope that enough of them will decide to do that,” Clinton said in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres when asked if she thought Trump could make it all four years.

In her first interview with DeGeneres since Trump’s surprising victory over her in the 2016 election, Clinton bemoaned the presidency and the Republican agenda that she said will “hurt so many people.”

{mosads}Clinton said when people ask her how she is after the loss, she answers that personally she’s fine, “but as an American I’m really concerned.”

“It’s disturbing and it’s obviously upsetting to me, because I see things happening around the world that are bad for our country that are dangerous that really pose a threat,” she said.
