Animatronic President Trump makes Disney World debut

An animatronic President Trump will address the public for the first time at Walt Disney World’s “Hall of Presidents” this week.

The attraction, which has been in place at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., since 1971, features robotic versions of American presidents. The exhibit closed for remodeling just after Trump took office, but will officially re-open on Tuesday.

In addition to repeating his oath of office, the robotic Trump speaks about the U.S. Constitution and the “achievement of the American spirit.”

{mosads}”Above all, to be an American is to be an optimist, to believe that we can always do better and that the best days of our great nation are still ahead of us,” he says. “It’s a privilege to serve as the president of the United States, to stand here among so many great leaders of our past, and to work on behalf of the American people.”

Vice retracted two reports earlier this year that said Trump’s robot would not give a speech due to his unpopularity. Disney pushed back on the reports, telling The Hill that every sitting president since 1993 has had a speaking role, and Trump would be no different.
