Donna Brazile on Bannon: At least I pissed people off ‘with my own book’
Former Democratic National Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile on Tuesday took a swipe at Stephen Bannon after the former chief White House strategist stepped down as chairman of Breitbart News.
“Steve Bannon and I. We both ended up pissing off a lot of people. But I’ll say this for myself — at least I did it with my own book,” Brazille tweeted.

Bannon was forced out of Breitbart a week after the publication of author Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury,” in which Bannon is quoted making disparaging remarks about President Trump’s family and administration.
The comments prompted a blistering public rebuke from the president. Rebekah Mercer, one of Bannon’s top allies and Breitbart’s top financial backers, also criticized Bannon’s comments in the book.
Bannon issued a statement further explaining his remarks, but it was rejected by the White House.
Brazile’s book, published late last year, spawned anger among Democrats after she wrote that the 2016 Democratic primary was rigged in favor of Hillary Clinton over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)
The book described an agreement between the DNC, the Clinton campaign and Clinton’s joint fundraising committee that Brazile wrote would have turned the party’s finances and fundraising strategy over to Clinton’s campaign.
Brazile also wrote that she considered replacing Clinton as the presidential candidate after Clinton had a bout with pneumonia.
Clinton campaign staffers ripped the book, saying it was an inaccurate description of the White House bid.
“For those who are telling me to shut up, they told Hillary that a couple months ago. You know what I tell them? Go to hell. I’m going to tell my story,” Brazile said in response to the criticism.
