Scott Baio denies having sex with underage actress in 1980s
Actor Scott Baio is denying allegations of sexual misconduct from a former co-star, saying the actress is “deliberately lying” by claiming the two had sexual intercourse before she turned 18.
“Nicole Eggert has been claiming I had sex with her before she was 18 at least since 2013,” Baio wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, referring to his former co-star. “She is provably wrong, and because we have been telling her that since last year without results, our only conclusion is that she is deliberately lying.”
The Facebook post followed a vague tweet from the actress, Nicole Eggert, who also starred on the show “Charles in Charge” with Baio during the 1980s.

“Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep,” Eggert tweeted last week.
Baio also posted a letter to Facebook that his lawyers wrote to “The Dr. Oz Show” earlier this month after they were told Eggert would appear on the show to discuss various allegations, including that she had sex with Baio at the age of 17.
“Please review this letter carefully,” Baio wrote in the Facebook post. “The evidence it contains proves beyond doubt that she initiated our one and only sexual contact and that it was well after she turned 18.”
The letter contends that Baio and Eggert had one sexual encounter when she “was well over the age of 18.” Baio added in the Facebook post that the “The Dr. Oz Show” “cancelled the planned” segment after his attorneys sent the letter.
Eggert also claimed Baio touched her “genitals when she was under age,” according to the letter from Baio’s lawyers, who disputed the allegation.
Baio is a prominent supporter of President Trump and spoke at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Ohio.
