2 students shot at Los Angeles middle school
Two students were shot Thursday morning in a classroom at a Los Angeles middle school, according to multiple reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a call of shots fired at Sal Castro Middle School just before 9 a.m. Two students — a 15-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl — may have been shot in a classroom, according to KTLA.
Both students were taken to a local hospital. The boy is in critical condition and the girl is in fair condition, KTLA reported. A 30-year-old woman was also injured in the incident.
A female student was reportedly taken into custody. {mosads}
Thursday’s incident is the latest in a string of recent shootings at schools across the country.
Two students were killed in a shooting at a Kentucky high school last week. That shooting took place one day after a teenager was injured in a shooting at a Texas high school.
