GOP Fla. gubernatorial candidate pictured with disgraced former congressman at Mar-a-Lago

Adam Putnam, a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Florida, was photographed Friday night alongside Donald Trump Jr. and disgraced former Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) at a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser for President Trump.

The photo was posted to Putnam’s Twitter on Friday, and shows him side by side with Foley and Trump Jr. at a fundraiser for the president headlined by Sarah Palin, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

“Thanks to @DonaldJTrumpJr for hosting us at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach,” Putnam wrote in his post.

Foley, a supporter of the president, resigned in disgrace in 2006 following reports that he sent suggestive text messages and emails to teenage boys who had worked as congressional pages. In 2016, Foley was pictured at a campaign rally for then-candidate Trump.  {mosads}

Despite being out of office for more than a decade, the Tampa Bay Times reported that Foley has recently used leftover campaign funds to dine at high-dollar restaurants around the Palm Beach area. He told the Times that he may have future political ambitions.

The Mar-a-Lago resort is run by the Trump Organization, which the president left in the hands of his two eldest sons upon entering the White House.

Putnam, currently Florida’s agricultural commissioner, announced he was running for Florida governor last year.
