The Pentagon on Saturday identified the U.S. soldier who died following an explosion in Syria the previous day.

Dunbar, who was from Austin, Texas, was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, the military campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) that began in 2014.
He joined the Army in 2005 and had been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. He was stationed at U.S. Army Special Operations Command headquarters at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
President Trump remarked during a speech in Ohio on Thursday that the U.S. would be “coming out of Syria” soon.
“Let the other people take care of it now. Very soon, very soon, we’re coming out,” he said.
Trump has reportedly told advisers that he wants to withdraw U.S. forces from the country once remaining pockets of ISIS militants are defeated.
