Stormy Daniels may appear at hearing for Trump lawyer

Adult-film actress Stormy Daniels may appear at a Monday court hearing for President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen regarding the FBI’s raid of his office and home.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing Daniels, said it’s “very possible” the adult-film actress would show up at Monday’s hearing, according to The Associated Press.

He later suggested on Twitter that Monday’s forecast “looks very Stormy.”

Cohen is slated to appear before a U.S. district judge in New York to answer questions about his business practices, which have been under investigation by the FBI for months.

In their sweep of Cohen’s records, investigators were reportedly seeking to obtain documents and communications regarding a payoff of Daniels to remain silent about her alleged affair with the president years before he entered office.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is suing Cohen for defamation and has claimed the nondisclosure agreement she signed as part of the deal is invalid because Trump never signed it.

Attorneys for Cohen have filed a restraining order on the prosecutors’ inspection of the seized documents, claiming the records of Cohen’s business fall under attorney-client privilege.
