Four more Nike executives exit amid workplace misconduct investigation

Four more Nike executives have left the company as a result of an investigation into inappropriate workplace behavior, The New York Times reported on Tuesday.

The four departures raise the total number of senior managers who have left the footwear and apparel company to 10, as the company continues to examine its leaders following allegations of harassment and discrimination toward female employees.

The departing executives supervised some of Nike’s most important divisions and high-profile departments, the Times said.

Nike confirmed to the Times on Tuesday that the four executives are Steve Lesnard, the head of running in North America; Helen Kim, who oversaw Eastern North America; Simon Pestridge, a head of marketing for the performance categories; and Tommy Kain, the director of sports marketing.

Nike’s chief executive, Mark Parker, apologized to employees and said that departures stemming from the investigation would end this week.

Trevor Edwards, Nike’s brand president and expected successor to Parker, resigned in March because of the investigation. Five more executives also left Nike in the following days.

The investigation began after a group of women at Nike conducted an informal survey about discrimination and harassment in the company and presented the results to Parker.
