Trump Jr. defends James Woods over Twitter lockout: ‘The bias continues!’
Donald Trump Jr. on Monday defended actor James Woods after he was locked out of his Twitter account for spreading a misleading meme that the site determined could influence the upcoming midterm elections.
“There’s literally nothing wrong with this @RealJamesWoods meme other than @Twitter using it as an excuse to silence a strong conservative voice,” Trump Jr. tweeted. “The bias continues!”

The president’s eldest son echoed complaints of some conservatives that Twitter and other social media platforms are biased against their voices. Those platforms have refuted those claims, stating that they do not censor content based on political affiliations.
{mosads}Woods was reportedly locked out of his account last week because he shared a meme in July that was part of a hoax campaign that encouraged men not to vote in November’s midterm elections.
The Associated Press reported that Woods received an email from Twitter last Thursday stating that the tweet in question “has the potential to be misleading in a way that could impact an election.”
Woods, whose account has over 1.7 million followers, told the AP he will not be removing the tweet.
The actor has been an outspoken critic of Democrats and a vocal backer of President Trump. He previously said after the 2016 that he would be quitting Twitter because of censorship, but he later rejoined the social platform and has since tweeted regularly.
