Home Depot employees build walker for toddler amid concerns about insurance coverage

Employees at a Georgia Home Depot banded together to build a walker for the child of a customer whose insurance wouldn’t cover it, according to KFSM News.

Christian Williams Moore’s son Logan has hypotonia, making walking without assistance difficult, according to the news outlet. Moore, concerned the family’s insurance wouldn’t cover a walker, visited the store to buy components to make one out of polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, piping.

{mosads}”My store manager heard about this and we went over to them looked at their plans and said we got this so we started putting it together told the family to go and enjoy ice cream and come back in a hour,” Jeffrey Anderson told the news outlet. “Other associates started jumping in and when the family came back it was done.”

“Everyone was crying to see Logan walk around with the biggest smile on his face and when the family tried to pay us we said, ‘No way this one is on us,'” Anderson added.
