Man charged with stabbing at London mosque appears in court
A man has been charged with stabbing a prayer leader at a London mosque, The Guardian reported Saturday.
Daniel Horton, 29, appeared at Westminster magistrates court on Saturday and is accused of grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. Horton reportedly knew the victim and had attended the mosque for years.
The victim, Raafat Maglad, 70, received medical attention at a London hospital after the incident at London Central mosque in Regent’s Park on Thursday. Maglad reportedly sustained a half-inch wound to his neck.
Maglad returned to lead a prayer at the same mosque on Friday, less than 24 hours after being stabbed, according to The Guardian.
