With a new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll showing that voters want Barack Obama to pick a running mate with military or foreign affairs experience, Jerome Armstrong guesses that Obama will choose Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), or New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D). Armstrong suggests that John McCain, whom voters want running with someone who has economic experience, will choose former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) or former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina. McCain’s campaign may be complaining about the positive media coverage Obama is getting, but the Republican has been the one who has called the press his “base,” writes Todd Beeton.
