Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) will be entitled to get all of the tapes of his conversations, which could be leaked as payback to Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), writes Hugh Hewitt. The joint ticket for Republican National Committee leadership of Ken Blackwell, Ohio’s former secretary of state, and Tina Benkiser, the Texas GOP chairwoman, may win support from the religious right but not the kind of support needed to win, writes Matt Lewis. Blackwell and Benkiser may have just enough backing to knock other RNC chairman candidates out and allow current RNC Chairman Mike Duncan to win another term, writes Lewis.
