Karl Rove takes a shot at Republican National Committee chairman candidate Michael Steele by noting that Steele’s current organization, GOPAC, needs to be revitalized, writes Kathryn Jean Lopez. Even under the worst-case scenario of a U.S. auto industry collapse, the country wouldn’t suffer through armageddon, notes Jim Manzi. After all, the estimated 3 million jobs lost under such a collapse would represent just a 2 percentage point jump in the unemployment rate and the money saved from blocking a bailout could be used to create more sustainable jobs, according to Manzi.
