The victory for Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy in the Ohio House race is sweet because she’s “a real progressive” and is one of the few 2006 challengers to succeed in 2008, writes Todd Beeton. Democrat Paul Carmouche deserves credit for refusing to concede to Republican Paul Fleming in the House runoff in Louisiana, writes Beeton. Carmouche trails by 356 votes but is waiting to see the provisional ballots counted.
