President-elect Barack Obama, Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) and Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) have shown hypocrisy by calling for an auto bailout after backing measures that contributed to the car companies’ plight, writes Henry Payne. Obama and Levin opposed a new deal for autoworkers and Casey backed tougher environmental regulations, Payne notes. Karl Rove, Vice President Dick Cheney and his top aide David Addington all attended Cheney’s last holiday party Thursday, notes Kathryn Jean Lopez, who suggests they could return in four years with Lynne Cheney in power.
