Fear of a recession has hit the markets and has caused stock exchanges in Germany, France and Japan to each slide by about 10 percent in overnight trading, the front page of Drudge notes. In political links, Drudge notes that the “most accurate” poll of 2004 has the presidential race within the margin of error, that both Barack Obama’s fundraising and John McCain’s cash reserves have dropped, and that a McCain volunteer in Pennsylvania was allegedly attacked and had a “B” carved into the side of her face.
