Republicans have e-mailed Marc Ambinder about their disgust with the RNC’s decision to spend $150,000 to outfit Palin during the convention. They can’t understand how their party could do “something this stupid” in the middle of the financial collapse, writes Ambinder, who notes that the money could have been used to purchase one week of advertising in Colorado. Barack Obama’s double-digit leads in the latest Pew Research Center and NBC/Wall Street Journal polls show that the race is not tightening, Ambinder writes.
