John McCain’s poor showing in the latest New York Times/CBS poll, which has Barack Obama ahead 53 percent to 39 percent, can be attributed to the Republican’s personal attacks and his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) as his running mate, writes kos. Under Democratic presidents, who have called for more regulation of the financial industry, stocks have gone up by 15 percent since 1929, which is a rate far better than 0.4 percent rate under seven Republican presidents, who have called for less regulation, writes Devilstower.
