John McCain again showed that he’s not the “steady hand at the tiller” by changing his government mortgage purchase plan to be more friendly to financial companies just hours after he proposed it during Tuesday’s debate, writes Josh Marshall. A shorter way to sum up McCain’s campaign against Barack Obama is to say that Obama is “definitely black, probably Muslim and maybe a terrorist,” writes Marshall.
