One crowd member at a John McCain event yelled out “terrorist” during the Republican’s attacks on Barack Obama, while a member at a Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) event yelled out “kill him” when she talked about Obama and Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers, notes Josh Marshall, who sees their inaction as evidence that McCain and Palin are “sick people.” Even Republican Senate campaigns, including Sen. Norm Coleman’s (Minn.), are trying to avoid being seen as supporters of McCain’s healthcare plan that would tax employer health benefits, writes Marshall.
