Barack Obama is launching an “aggressive, multi-pronged effort” to highlight John McCain’s role in the Keating Five savings-and-loan scandal, writes The Huffington Post’s Nicholas Graham. The Democrat’s campaign already has a website, KeatingEconomics.com, dedicated to McCain’s involvement and will post a 13-minute video about the scandal, Graham writes. McCain, who once stood up to his party by opposing President Bush’s tax cuts, is now running an “empty campaign” that is in sync with the Republican economic agenda and is anything but “mavericky,” writes Jared Bernstein.
