John McCain has shown himself to be a leader during the economic crisis by suspending his campaign and heading to Washington, while Barack Obama has shown himself to be a “wanna-be” who wants to “smile pretty” during the debate,” writes Mike Gallagher. To solve a possible impasse over whether to hold the debate, McCain should offer to change the first debate’s topic to the economy, which is the top issue for everyone right now, or he should propose the debate be moved to Washington, so it would take little away from his “crucial work of leadership,” writes Michael Medved.
