Polls show that New Hampshire’s four electoral votes, which could be the difference between a win for Barack Obama and an electoral college tie, are up for grabs, seemingly because of the state’s fondness for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), writes Todd Beeton. Even David Letterman is ripping on John McCain for stopping his campaign and trying to delay Friday’s debate, notes Beeton. After Letterman found out Wednesday that McCain cancelled an appearance on talk show yet gave an interview to Letterman’s CBS colleague Katie Couric, the “Late Show” host asked facetiously, “Are we suspending [the campaign] because there’s an economic crisis or because the poll numbers are sliding?”
