Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R) favorability numbers have dropped in the most recent surveys, which means that she’s only serving to keep the GOP base intact and that John McCain’s policies are again becoming the focus of the race, writes kos. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s “Mother of All Bailouts” plan may benefit Wall Street, but Congress should look at other plans that also do more for homeowners and stimulate the economy for the rest of the country, writes Hunter.
