Barack Obama is using the “same old socialist baloney” that Democrats used against Ronald Reagan when he suggests that John McCain can’t understand economic woes because he works in the Senate and has a ranch in Arizona, writes Jay Nordlinger. McCain should stand his ground while being attacked for his statement that the “fundamentals of the economy are strong,” since he’ll then come across as the leader who doesn’t panic and will show Obama to be the candidate who is making the economic situation worse, writes Jonah Goldberg.
