Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R) remark in an ABC News interview that left open the possibility of a U.S. war with Russia leads the Post. Palin also was confused over a question about the “Bush Doctrine” and faced tough questions from interviewer Charles Gibson over her national security credentials, the Post notes. Palin’s readiness for war raises questions over whether she’s ready to lead and reflects poorly on John McCain, who has been sending “horrifying signals” about wars that it would fight, writes Ilan Goldenberg.
