Though ABC News’s Charles Gibson came across as condescending in his interview of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), the GOP veep nominee clearly had trouble when asked about the “Bush Doctrine” and couldn’t answer a question about terrorism and Pakistan without resorting to platitudes, writes Allahpundit. John McCain’s new ad, which notes that Palin has been called “good looking,” errs because it suggests that Republicans are the victims, which is an argument they usually don’t win, writes Ed Morrissey.
